Dr. Christopher Gay is a highly qualified pain physician based in Alaska. He has an impressive background, having earned his medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed his residency and fellowship at Columbia University’s Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Gay is board-certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain Management. He takes a personalized, evidence-based approach to pain treatment, recognizing the unique nature of each patient’s experience. He also values a team approach and integrates holistic and traditional methods in his care plans.

Through a multidisciplinary approach, she focuses on individualized care, ensuring each patient feels heard, supported, and comfortable with their treatment plan. SHEILA ROBERTSON

Office Manager

Sheila’s Alaskan journey began in 1984 when her father’s military service brought her to the Last Frontier, and she’s been proud to call it home ever since. A 1998 graduate of Alaska Career College (formerly Alaska Career Academy), she has spent over twenty years mastering the ins and outs of Pain Management. With her wealth of experience and dedication, Sheila ensures that patients receive top-notch support and seamless healthcare service.
When she’s not keeping things running smoothly at work, you’ll find her embracing Alaska’s breathtaking outdoors, whipping up delicious treats in the kitchen, or hosting spirited game nights with friends. Most of all, she loves spending quality time with her husband, Stephen, and their blended family, making every moment count!

ELI MATTHEWS

Medical Assistant

Eli was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. He joined the Alaska Center for Pain Relief in 2020 and, before this, worked in the Emergency Department. Outside work, he enjoys bicycling, long-distance through-hiking, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and language learning.
