Dr. Christopher Gay is a personable board-certified pain physician who provides exceptional service to patients in Alaska. Originally from the east coast, he now calls Alaska home.

An accomplished interventional pain specialist, he earned his medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and subsequently completed his residency and fellowship training at New York’s Presbyterian Hospital at Columbia University, one of the top medical centers in the country. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Anesthesiology, with board certification in both Anesthesiology and Pain Management.

Dr. Gay understands that no two people experience pain alike, so he employs an evidence-based approach to tailor personalized treatment regimens for his patients’ individual conditions. He is well-versed in a wide range of diagnostic tests and procedures, and believes that understanding pain conditions and how they are treated is the foremost step in empowering patients to take control of their pain. He is comfortable with all aspects of pain management when deemed appropriate recognizing that it often takes a team approach to treat pain effectively. Dr. Gay keeps in close communication with other treating health care providers and includes consideration of holistic and integrative medicine approaches in his treatment plans.
